Earlier this month, we launched a version of cms-lite for a non-profit organization.
It’s an open-source Content Management System (CMS) designed with three key goals:
Easy to Use: Anyone, regardless of technical expertise, should be able to manage their online presence.
Low Resource Requirements: CMS-Lite is built to run smoothly on affordable hosting platforms.
CMS-Lite creates static websites.
Static websites are ideal for several reasons:
SEO Friendly: They excel in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), making them easy to find online.
Fast Loading: They can be deployed on Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), speeding up page load times worldwide.
Secure & Cost-Effective: Since they lack a complex back-end, they’re more secure and less expensive to maintain than dynamic websites.
Static websites are perfect for individuals, non-profits, small businesses, and even large companies. However, building them often requires technical knowledge, hindering many from creating their online space.
We created CMS-Lite to break down these barriers. We prioritized user-friendliness, and based on early user feedback, we’re confident we’ve achieved that goal.
While still under development, we have big plans for CMS-Lite, including a hosted version called Share-Lite. Share-Lite will be accessible to everyone with just a few clicks and a signup, making website creation easier than ever.
We’re excited about the potential of CMS-Lite and Share-Lite to empower people to build their online presence. Stay tuned for future updates!
